IFERI New International organisation for reading instruction

Post by Debbie Hepplewhite »

I am really pleased to announce the formation of an 'international' organisation for reading instruction.

The 'International Foundation for Effective Reading Instruction' (IFERI) at the time of this posting is in its formative stages.

The core committee brings together people of many different roles and responsibilities including those who have influenced governmental policies, researchers, teacher-trainers and parents:

IFERI has very close links with the UK Reading Reform Foundation, the National Right to Read Foundation (USA), the Learning Difficulties Australia organisation and other similar organisations.

Supporters are very welcome whether as organisations or individuals.

There is an active message forum with a variety of topics.

There is now a sign-up facility for anyone - or any organisation - that wishes to show support for IFERI.

You can even leave a personal message for public view as an individual:

Thank you to those of you who feel able to show your support in this way.

Many thanks - we really appreciate that.

We've had some very positive encouragement already which is always great to receive.
