Dr Gillian Evans

Gillian Evans gained her science-based Ph.D. in 1989. Her professional career was spent working in the highly regulated field of clinical research within the Pharmaceutical Industry. While working for GlaxoWellcome she received training in Quality Management from the Juran Institute.

A thirty-year career was brought to an abrupt end when she had to take her 10-year-old son out of a South Ayrshire Council accredited Dyslexia Friendly school and teach him how to read.

Since 2018, Gillian has conducted a lot of personal research into dyslexia and the Science of Reading. She has used her root cause analysis training to determine the main reasons why the quality of the Scottish education system is in decline.
