Book review: Learning to Read by Masha Bell

Post by Susan Godsland » Wed May 30, 2007 6:03 pm

Learning to Read by Masha Bell, published by Pegasus.

I have two positive things to say about this book –it’s cheap and it’s short.

If you want to learn how to really mess up teaching the Alphabet Code I urge you to buy a copy.

Sue Palmer described Masha Bell’s previous book ‘Understanding English Spelling’ as ‘depressing and confusing, and leaves you wondering how anybody ever manages to read and write English at all.’ This book is no different. http://www.spellingsociety.org/news/media/bellrevew.php
